Program Description
The A.S. in Mathematics provides the foundation needed to transfer into a Bachelor of Science degree program in Mathematics-related fields at a four-year institution. The Associate of Science in Mathematics is an academic transfer program designed to introduce students to the field of mathematics and transfers into a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree program at ENMU.
This program is built to provide a strong foundation within Mathematics, as well as other STEM fields. Completion of this program can lead to employment opportunities or allow a student to transfer to a four-year institution with a strong foundation in mathematics as well as engineering technical skills. There are many pathways built within the degree. For example, the course electives allow for flexibility to support students' interests within Mathematics and STEM. This includes fabrication, computer science, teacher education, and/or technical/manufacturing math. Some of the elective courses include embedded micro-credentials, such as Snap-On, Python, and SolidWorks. Students should reach out to the Program Director for guidance on choosing a specific pathway within the program (575) 624-7253.
